What kinds of projects are you looking for?
I feel like honesty and trust are the two most valuable traits in a client/designer relationship. Also sense of humor. Also prioritization. And honesty.
The most fun I've ever had is bringing my favorite local pizzeria's vision to life with a complete identity system, illustration and food truck design. Restaurants, sports, consumer packaged goods -- these are the ideal clients for me.
What makes your work unique?
From small teams to Fortune 500s, I excel at communication and make sure everyone's voice is heard. Whether I assume full creative control or delegate work to my network of talented peers, I always feel at home navigating the path from concept to execution. Whether you're just now coming up with an idea or days from launch, I feel right at home with my process.
I work to present "no viable alternative" where there's a single option we've both built together. None of that 3 options, 2 rounds, 1 final logo nonsense. Plan B is the plan to fail. My process for building an identity involves so much collaboration that it's obvious we land exactly where we're supposed to.
What does your creative process look like?
We spend the first part of our client / designer relationship talking. A lot. We dive into the value propositions, voice and goals of your endeavor until we speak a unique language that makes everyone else jealous.
Moodboards, sketches, wireframes and final artwork -- sure, you get all that stuff. But you'll also get a friend.
