What kinds of projects are you looking for?
I focus on supporting startups in a fractional "Founding Designer/Head of Design" role — helping serve all the design needs they may have in the first year or so of life, chiefly including 0 → 1 product design, and branding/identity. Ideal projects for me are in the consumer space, at the "zero" stage, with an exceptional founding team that needs to build both a product and brand from scratch.
What makes your work unique?
I try to balance the benefits of an in-house design lead (integrated, personal, invested, long-term), with those of a top-tier agency (one-stop shop, network of specialists, earned expertise). This is the only type of work I do, and I've done it for over a decade now with dozens of clients, refining the approach as I go.
What does your creative process look like?
I was in-house at startups for many years before going independent, so I take a very practical "low-ego" approach to building brand and product iteratively as part of a small team. Big things have small beginnings.
